Post-Birthday "glow"

Well, I'm back after my b-day weekend. Most plans that had been in place, such as going over to my grandmothers and possibly getting into an argument and going to a friends party (she lives in a semi-sketchy neighborhood) were scrapped. Instead, Friday went out to dinner with my mom, pregnant oldest sister and her family, and did a little shopping. I have a new pair of boots! I love them. They're more feminine, unlike my fake combat boots that I've gotten in years previous.

Found out when my other pregnant sister is due (J had to "threaten" in a text message was she going to tell her H's due date or was she going to have to go into H's friends' work and ask her for it-- she finally told her May 25 :) ). Yes I'm excited about both! I need to get a move on with my quilt and then I can get started on both of their baby quilts. I fould some pre-cut stuff at the Walmart near my school which is kinda cute. None of it is "Winnie the Pooh" themed like J wants (no clue what theme H is going for, she's non-conversational as always) but some of it is pretty nice looking. All will tell with time, specially if my email reply pissed off Grandma A or not.*

Edit:

I was watching Dave Salmoni on the Jay Leno show tonight. Can I just say... YUMMY~!!! He's one fine-looking canadian!I watched some of his documentary on Animal Planent
Into the Pride, and though I thought he was a little crazy for doing what he did, there is just something sexy about a guy that works with animals-- especially him, lol :)

It's been a week since my b-day, and not much has changed. Found outmy grandma A is still causing drama, and upping the level, with the chair drama (I'm gonna have to go back in my other posts to see if I've previously written about it, but who knows). Pretty much, she's being bitter, and has now added being spiteful because she wasn't invited to my eldest sister's wedding**. I can semi-see why she's upset over this, but there is a point to where she needs to accept the apology and explanation and MOVE ON!

Things have come to a "semi-understanding" with the children.. I put that in quotes because they haven't gone out for
Thirsty Thursday yet, so the "ceasefire" might only be temporary. Instead of when the t.p. runs out int he bathroom us 4 share, we're just gonna cart it back and forth (seeing as we went through 3 roles in 3 days because someone from their room kept letting it puddle on the floor, something had to be done). Speaking of M, can I just say this- if you're going to do extensions, make sure they look natural and not blatantly fake! By having them look fake, it makes you look cheap, and I doubt you wanna spend whatever amount of money you did on themfor them to look cheap. Now if only the children didn't occupy the bathroom practically 24/7...

This weekend should be interesting... My school's having the halloween dance tomorrow night. I'm not going-- not a big partier. I'll hang out with friends, but, since I don't know that many people, and most of the people I do know aren't going or are going to be home for the weekend, so there's not going to be that many people to dance with/hang out with there***.

Ok, I just gotta say something about this whole
Swine Flu "panic/fascination." If you've read/heard anything about it, it's just another variation for the flu virus that's been around forever! What make it different is the age range it's affecting most ("regular" flu hits more elderly, while swine flu is hitting the "younger generations"). What I'm trying to get at is, I'm sick of hearing about it every newscast. They're not presenting anything new, they're just spinning the same s$#% over and over again! By doing this, the media's just numbing people to the effect it can have on their lives, so stop spazzing on it. The media needs to stop attempting to stir up a panic in society! It's never a positive outcome! (sorry about the rant, but the news broadcast that I was watching had 2 back-to-back pieces on the swine flu, and it irritated me).

Well, if
The Children ever leave for their TT festivities, then I can finally get ready for bed. When I leave for class tomorrow, I'm so chucking the tennis ball someone's bouncing to the cieling downstairs out the door, if E hasn't chucked it outside before then... I'll try and update more regularly. Laters :/

*She had called me Tuesday last week asking what i wanted for my birthday so she could mail it to me before my bday that friday, something that would've been impossible. I had already told her the last time I was home a Walmart gift card- apparently she didn't remember. I didn't call her back because of the drama I heard she's stirring up from J on Wednesday. She sent what i like to call a "guilt trip email" on Saturday, so I replied kindof curtly on Sunday night, so only time will tell when she answers it.

**J and Ph (her new husband) put together their wedding in 4 DAYS. The only people that were there besides the bride, groom and pastor was the parents of them, siblings, spouses/children of siblings and her friend 'Chelle, who was her maid of honor. She got her dress from DB's for $99! Can we say deal? I think we can. They wanted to invite other relatives, but then it would've been a snowball situation, and they just wanted an intimate ceremony, and it was.

***If you haven't noticed, I'm not that much of an outgoing person when I'm not familiar with the majority of the people in the environment/situation.
