busy next few weeks

So, just a heads up: I'm going to be somewhat busy the next few wees, with finals in about 3 weeks, term projects due within the next week (including one due tomorrow- EEP!), so I may not have as much time to post on here. And no, I have not forgotten the fictional blog I am going to start. That I will put on hold until after finals week (my school gets out the last week of april, ahead of most other colleges by atleast two weeks from what I've heard) so that it won't be 1)half-assed and 2)distracting me from school.

So, I'm going home this weekend. My dad's birthday is Thursday, so it is kinda a mixture of things- a happy b-day for him, a check up on Dudley, and to see the rest of the family that lives close by, like my sister and her family (Ph, Maddie, possibly Nana if they have her this weekend).

Am I the only one that detests/hates sunlight? I feel like I'm in the minority by hating it. It's not like I can help it. Sunlight causes me to burn, even with sunscreen, and hurts my eyes. Gotta love the fact I have pretty much all the precursors for sin cancer- fair skin, freckles, recessive eye traits (blue/green eyes), recessive hair traits (red/blonde). I made the mistake last summer of going outside without any sunscreen , on a CLOUDY day.  What most forget is that even though the sun is "hidden' by the clouds, the rays are actually being magnified through the clouds since clouds are moisture-packed, so it's worse to be out without sunscreen on a cloudy day in the summer. Anyways, that day, I went to a county fair near my grandparents house with my then-boyfriend. By the time we headed back to our hometown, I was radioactive sunburnt lol! I was pulsing with heat, let alone my eyebrows (blonde eyebrows that you can't see without a sunburn, lol) were glowing. The heat of the burn didn't go away for a few days, I couldn't stand hot showers for a week or so, had to take luke-warm/slightly cold showers for a while while the blisters that formed on my shoulders healed. What made it worse is that I had a summer job, and the shirts/brastraps i wore for the job rubbed right on the worst burned parts. I was a crispy critter. It was up there with the worst sunburn I've ever had- summer of 3rd grade, went to camp for about 4-5 days, wore sunscreen- i think spf 15 (it was mandatory by the counselors) everyday, put it on multiple times a day. the last day i was taken to the nurses office and had calamine lotion put on me because i was the color of a dark adobe brick. I was THAT RED. had blisters on both shoulders, one being the size of a quarter. Let's just say aloe vera became my friend that summer, lol.

Well, I'm going to hop off here, because I have class at 2, and the roommate is annoying my just by being in the room. Sunlight + warmer temps + cranky redhead = BADNESS/short fuse. I will try to blog soon, but if not, I'll resume in May.
