Wedding help

Ok, just so you know, it is NOT me that is getting married. I would have to be involved with someone in order for that to happen. My friend Karen is getting married in November, and has named me Maid Of Honor! I'm excited, yet extremely nervous. I've never been a MOH before, so I don't know everything that an MOH does. From what I gather, the MOH along with the other bridesmaids plan the bridal shower, along with the bachelorette party. Right now, we're waiting to plan those til after the dresses get ordered in early July (need to have them ordered by then since it takes 8-12 weeks to get them in, idky). The only slight drama there is from one of the other two Bridesmaids. Both the others are married, and I get along with them fine, however... "A" is a type-A personality, meaning the type that likes everything planned out far in advance or else they think it's planning at the last minute. Case in point, we had all agreed that we would put off pricing for the bridal shower til after we ordered the bridesmaids dresses in early July (two weeks left). This lady went over my head and was discussing ideas that were not set in stone with the bride. She got chewed out by both the other bridesmaid and me, because we both agree that it is NOT waiting til the last minute, that it is in fact giving us all time to brainstorm before coming together to talk ideas. I'll be kind of glad when this is all over, lol! I haven't started the speech(es) that I'll have to do, but I've been mulling over ideas. Quick question- what is your take on bridal shower games? I've found a website that has some tips for bridesmaids, but I'm open to suggestions.

Well, I will more than likely be traveling back and forth twice a week to finish up the Shakespeare requirement. Also, I found a job, though I have a feeling I am going to have to find a second one since hours are starting to decline as the big sale winds down.

Haven't been able to meet up with KT yet, our schedules have been too messed up, but hopefully soon.

My cousin Mike got married this past weekend, in southernish Oh. Since then I've had sinus/cold problems. I had to take mucinex, which, I know it works well and all, but I wish there was a type of it that suppresses coughing. I'm glad that work changed my shift type and I ended up not being needed. Granted, I'll miss the hours, but I'm grateful since I had little patience today feeling crappy and all.

Well, until next time, got any good fictional blogs to reccommend? most of the ones I follow are either infrequent posting (btw, sorry about the gap in posting) or have stopped posting altogether.
