last week of semester

This past week or so have been so stressful. First my senior seminar paper was due, plus a paper for a communications class. Friday, I had an exam due by 5pm, so i was cramming on that. Because of that however, I missed my chance at talking to a professor I have to take by arrangement with them next semester because I read her office hours wrong. Plus, I realized at midnight that night, that I had forgotten the deadline for my journals submission another class.

Possibly because of all the stress, plus it being the evil "time of the month" I am having digestive problems. Last week it was a case of the sniffles/sneeze attack, but now it is this. I'm going to the school clinic tomorrow morning to hopefully remedy the situation. If not, then Thursday when I am back home for break, I will be going to the doctor to get checked out.

Things have kind of come to a head with a girl in the dorm. One of the downstairs girls has been spending time the past few weeks smoking pot at a friend's dorm. Well, it came out that she had started smoking it at our dorm, which pissed me off.Call me selfish, but with it not being in our dorm itself, it didn't necessarily affect me. But with it being in the dorm, not only myself but our whole dorm could possibly get nailed. I say it all came to a head because we let the RA know what was going on. A little later that day, she went down to her room, and asked her roommate if she could get high in the room. Her roommate told her no, so she blew up at her, and stormed out. The RA was notified of the incident, talked to her supervisors, who informed the RA that they could not do anything unless she was caught in the act. So pretty much, we're S.O.L. in dealing with this unless she confronts us or is taped confessing to it.

I am just ready for this semester to be over, for all of these reasons. I'll be happy to hang out at home, hopefully have a winter job, and spend time with the niece and nephew, who are ADORABLE. The one thing I will miss is volunteering at Sierra's Haven, an animal shelter down here in Portsmouth. I'll miss hanging out with the animals. I'll be able to remember them by the numerous puncture marks on my legs and the scratches on my neck and hands/arms (what can I say? the cats treat me like a cat perch!)

Well, I will try to post regularly through December, but I can't make any promises. Check this blog and my fiction blog periodically and you might see some new stuff. Regular blogging will start back up definitely in January when Spring Semester starts back up.
